Data Processing Officer

Job Description (total positions: 1, posted on: Mar 14, 2017)

This position is responsible for handling data processing and all IT related tasks of the entire depot at the respective base location.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Daily Processing

  • Responsible for handling all HHT operations i.e. Downloading & Uploading.

  • Track timings with recipient signature before issuing and receiving HHT from all the users.

  • Responsible to modify and create existing Route Plan i.e. PJPs in S&D after receiving authorized approval i.e. Daily or Routine changes should be approved by FM / DM whereas, for New PJPs it should be approved by AM / HO personnel.

  • Responsible for creating New POPs through filled and authorized form given by FM / AM.

  • Send data to Head Office on a daily / monthly basis as per the defined frequency i.e. upload on given FTP or mark email to the given email address.

  • Normal / Special order entries / processing same as given by authorize personnel.

  • Assigned DPO shall enter all warehouse related documentations i.e. All SAN, Returns (Normal + Expiry), Counter, Transfer Invoices after receiving filled and authorized forms.

  • Entry of appropriate comments and proper marking of transactions i.e. GIN, Manual Cash-memo, DA/ RA /SAN, Book By etc.

  1. IT Facilitation

  • Ensure Daily Backups of S&D systems.

  • Ensure Up-to-date backup machine i.e. applied all Releases and PTFs.

  • Timely deployment of system updates/PTFs on both main and backup machine.

  • Follow written instructions of IT seniors to facilitate the depot.

  • Proper call logging on IT issues and follow-up i.e. ensure all calls should be marked on ITSUPPORT email address or CHASE.

  • Ensure up-to-date anti-virus.

  1. Adherence to Policies

  • Follow all defined Head Office IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Keep record of all PTFs, Releases, S&D and Hardware Complaints.

  • Maintain office discipline i.e. Attendance, Avail Approved Leave and inform in case of absence.

  1. IT Asset Management

  • Ensure Healthy infrastructure i.e. Proper Cabling, Earthing, and extension boards etc.

  • Ensure availability of Backup equipment i.e. Backup Machine and backup HHT unit provided by Head Office IT.

  • Ensure backup Internet availability at depot i.e. DSL / PTCL connections.

  • Ensure record keeping of all IT related assets and record all movements i.e. depot to Head Office and Head Office to depot.

  • Mark properly Name of user against respective HHT.

  • Follow DO and Dont of HHT given by Head Office IT.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of Hardware through vendors i.e. covering and cleanness.

  • Report to Head Office Infrastructure team in case of any damage and mal-functioning of IT equipment.

  1. Miscellaneous

  • Perform any other assignment / duty assigned by the Supervisors and / or Head of Information Technology.

  1. Professional and Self Development

  • Make a conscious effort to find out work deficiencies and discuss with immediate supervisor to find ways to overcome the deficiencies, if any.

  • Highlight self training and development needs, in consultation with the immediate supervisor, to improve professional competencies.

  • Learn and apply new knowledge and skills for better results in the assignments.
